Christopher has worked in criminal defence for more than 30 years, representing clients across the full range of Hong Kong criminal investigations and court proceedings.
He has defended prosecutions brought by the Police, Immigration Department, Customs and Excise Department, Labour Department and ICAC. He represents suspects during investigations and defendants in trials, pleas in mitigation, bail applications, appeals and other ancillary applications in the criminal courts.
Christopher also regularly represents companies and individuals responding to investigations by the Commercial Crime Bureau and the SFC in all aspects of white collar crime.
Although recognised as a leading white-collar crime practitioner, Christopher continues to undertake a broad range of criminal defence work.

Christopher advises companies and individuals responding to investigations by the Commercial Crime Bureau and the SFC, including matters involving fraud, conspiracy, money laundering and other commercial offences.
Complex trials
As trial advocate in the longest case conducted by his previous firm, Christopher defended two clients against multiple conspiracy and money-laundering charges. Both were acquitted in full and awarded their costs.
Defence teams
His practice is not confined to white-collar cases. Christopher continues to handle everyday criminal allegations and works closely with local barristers to form effective teams for Hong Kong court proceedings.
Professional appointments
Service beyond private practice includes committee work on higher rights of audience and double jeopardy, membership of the Financial Reporting Review Panel, and advocacy assessment at HKU and City University.
